1957
McFarland Ford is formed by Frank O. Patterson of Greenland, NH and Donald J. McFarland of Rye, NH. Henry McFarland, son of Donald invests in the dealership and joins the staff as well.
1960
Within a few years of opening, McFarland Ford moves from the converted barn on Court Street to Portsmouth Avenue in what is now the Robbins Auto Parts Building.
1966
Construction begins to move into the current 151 Portsmouth Avenue location.
1985
The McFarland family opens Hampton Ford in North Hampton, NH.
2017
The all-new McFarland Ford Showroom opens, with state-of-the art kitchen, waiting areas (with fireplace), and other amenities to ensure the comfort of our customers.
2017
The brand new state-of-the-art Service Center opens to compliment the new showroom.

There are currently two generations of the McFarland family actively working in the business. Since our outset, the McFarland philosophy has emphasized a personal relationship with our employees and customers.
